Why is it that liberal politicans lie so easily?

So, as if it is really news given its frequency, Obama gave a speech in Brazil last weekend and in it he noted: "Our gun laws in the United States don't make much sense. Anybody can buy any weapon any time -- without much, if any, regulation. They can buy (guns) over the Internet. They can buy machine guns."

Now look - I don't care who you are, that's bullshit right there. At best, if one wanted to be charitable, it is ignorant. But let's be honest:  Given that we have, for years, been told over and over how intelligent Obama is, clearly the concepts involved here are not beyond his superhuman comprehension. That, combined with his propensity for manipulative misstatement, if not outright lying, suggests he knew full well he was misrepresenting reality.

1.  Anybody cannot buy any weapon at any time.  Super Brother knows this, he knows we have background checks, waiting periods and the like.  The only people who can buy a weapon at any time are criminals who are engaged in criminal enterprise who can find them on most street corners next to the crack or opioids. And even they likely cannot buy any weapon; we certainly know that the lawful American cannot. But if numb nuts would read reports. like those issued during his preseidency, he would know that the vast majority of guns used in crime are not bought legally

2.  Yes, you can buy a gun over the Internet, but you cannot take possession of it without it going through a Federal Firearms Licensee and having a background check completed. Been there, done that.  Again, Wonder Brother is either not so smart or he knows this, but declines to accurately reflect it in his discussion as it would hurt his narrative.

3.  You cannot buy a machine gun - at least not without checks and regulations up the wazoo. Barack the Magnificent knows this, too. But perhaps he does not know what a machine gun is.

Obama knows all these things...the man is not stupid, just warped, egotistical, and sociopathic. So why does he choose to misrepresent (Mmmm....lie about) the law in this country (I was going to call it his country, but given his behavior, I am sure that would be inaccurate)?  Clearly because he lies with a desired goal in mind, with a certain philosophy in his heart. Clearly he takes some perverse pleasure in going around the world heaping disrespect on the nation he once governed/attempted to transform

What does it say about people that they can lie so easily with a straight face - especially when they are doing so in an attempt to malign the US on foreign soil - except that they are soulless psychopaths.
